At Bethany we see our young people not only as the future of the church but
as an invaluable part of the church today.
We offer a wide-variety of activities, opportunities, and educational
experiences for young people ages 3-18.  Go to our youth page to learn more!

Children in pre-school (3 years old) through 5th grade have weekly Sunday School classes at Bethany from 9:20-9:55 p.m. in designated rooms. Sunday School runs from September to May, and Day camp is offered in June. Contact Gayle for more information.

Sunday School Plans for Winter 2021
– Parables of Jesus

(Given our limitations for gathering during Covid, we have adapted Sunday School at this time)

Hear the Story (First week) – We will gather either in small groups in person or on a Zoom meeting (whichever people are comfortable with) to hear an extended and dynamic re-telling of a Bible Story followed by invitations to interact and wonder about the story.  In early 2021, we will be exploring the different parables Jesus shared.

Learn/Share the Story (Second week) – Will be a Zoom meeting where we will have some songs and will lead the children in a craft or game that pertains to that Bible Story.

If you are a caring adult who loves young people, we would love to equip you to facilitate a small, safe group in person or online.

In order to organize materials and teachers we will need registration forms so we know how many, the ages of the children and families interested.  Click here for your Family Bible Adventure registration.

The Faith Formation team posts Sunday School material each week on the special Kid’s Corner section of Bethany Live.  Click here for downloadable worksheets, activities, and videos.

We also create and post a special Kid’s Bulletin to make the worship live-stream more engaging for families with young children.

Finally, Pastor Nate creates a weekly Children’s Sermon video (just like the one to the left).  You can view all of these videos on our Youtube page.

We offer a wide variety of Adult Education opportunities at Bethany. From Bible Studies, to book clubs, to topical discussions, the opportunities
at Bethany are numerous! Check this page often to hear about our latest Adult Education offerings (see below).

Join Pastor Nate & Pastor Gary Wednesday nights, Jan 13, 20, 27, Feb 3 @ 6:30pm on Zoom week we will discuss: Two things you may have missed in scripture, and One ridiculous story. This is a fun look at scripture that will connect multiple stories. And, we’ll throw in a bit of comic relief.
No registration necessary – join in whenever you are able

Growth Groups are an Adult Education offering from last fall and they were a great success!  We are in the middle of a new “semester” of Growth Groups now and are considering planning a new one soon.  Check the Growth Group page for more info on the newest catalog of groups.

Join in on Zoom every Monday morning at 9am to study the Bible readings for the upcoming Sunday.  Contact Sarah to receive the newest zoom link.

Learn and practice the Ancient Spiritual Practice of Centering Prayer with a committed community of adults.  There are two groups that meet for a time of study and 20 minutes of meditative prayer, both meet in the Bethany Chapel.
