Stewardship 2024

Dear People of Bethany,

Over the next few weeks you will hear stewardship messages at Bethany Lutheran Church. We take this time to consider our response to God’s generosity to us. At Bethany our stewardship lives out our message of Know Love, Show Love as well as our understanding of Abundantly Bethany as we respond to the needs of the world through generosity and action.

Our life of generosity is a spiritual act. It is one of the many ways that we grow in our relationship to God. Thank you for your continued financial gifts that allow the vibrant ministries of Bethany Lutheran Church to flourish. By your generosity we are able to:

– welcome over 150 people into ministry every Wednesday night;
– support over 30 ministries locally and globally doing God’s work;
– worship with relevant messages and inspiring music.

On this site you can download a 2024 Intention of Giving form. On Sunday, February 4, we will take time during the worship service to invite people to bring this form forward to be placed in a basket at the altar. The baskets will remain in the Sanctuary for a few weeks if you are not able to be on campus on Feb 4.

These completed forms are an expression of your response to the blessings that God makes known in your life. We realize that the ministries of Bethany Lutheran Church are but one area where your life of generosity is expressed. The staff and leaders of Bethany are so grateful for the ministry that can be accomplished because of the collective generosity of our people.

Last year only 20% of our family units turned in a form. We are seeking to double that number this year and greatly appreciate your participation. Your sharing the Intention of Giving form is important in three ways:

– It is a way for you to honor your life of generosity.
– The Council uses the collective figures to create our ministry spending plan.
– Our Outreach Ministry Team can plan for the extended ministries of Bethany in the coming year.

There are many stewardship resources available on the Bethany website, www.Bethany-Denver.org. We encourage you to spend some time utilizing these resources as you consider your financial intention in this year. On the site over the next few weeks you will find:

– A video showing how you can utilize the Realm app for your giving;
– Helpful information if this process is new to you;
– Access to the Stewardship sermons from Jan 21, 28, and Feb 4;
– Link to stewardship podcast;
– A PDF of the Intention of Giving form

The vibrant ministry of Bethany Lutheran Church is a direct result of your generosity. Even more important is the way that your life of generosity helps you grow in your spiritual connection to God. We pray that this time of stewardship will equip you as you grow in faith.
